Infragistics Extension for Coded UI Visual Studio 2010 RTM.

Hi,

We have our application developed using Infragistics Controls and we are automating that using coded ui on Visual Studio 2010 premium RTM version.

We are unable to access certain Infragistics controls using Coded Ui Test Builder. It gets stuck when we try to use these control with coded ui's in built methods.

So my questions are:

1)do we need any infragistics extension to work on these controls or is there any hotfix to work on the controls?

(if yes to 1)

2)will that extension be compatible with VS 2010 premium RTM version?

3)will that extension be free or licensed(if licensed what is the cost?)

4) Does Visual Studio 2012,2013,2015 any of these come with built in support for Infragistics control or they all need licensed extension?

This is a blocker for us, we need to automate application with these controls. Kindly give all the prerequisites required to work.

    Please find bellow answers to your questions:

    1. Do we need any Infragistics extension to work on these controls or is there any hotfix to work on the controls – yes, you need to install Infragistics Coded UI Test Extension in order to be able to record and replay actions on Infragistics Controls with MS Coded UI Test;
    2. Will that extension be compatible with VS 2010 premium RTM version – Visual Studio 2010 is supported from version 10.1 until the version 15.2 of Infragistics for Windows Forms.     3. Will that extension be free or licensed (if licensed what is the cost?) – using of Infragistics Coded UI Test Extension requires an Infragistics license. For pricing options please contact our sales team at sales@infragistcs.com;
    4. Does Visual Studio 2012,2013,2015 any of these come with built in support for Infragistics control or they all need licensed extension – no. As of my knowledge there is not built in support for Coded UI for Infragistics control in any version of Visual Studio. So you will need to obtain an Infragistics license in order to be able to use Infragistics Coded UI Extension on whatever supported version of Visual Studio you are using.
