Hello again,
I'm attempting to set up a xamgrid where filters are requested before the page loads.
I have tried the FilterCellValue field and that has worked great. However, when you open the Filter Menu at the top of the column, that filter applied does not show up as a selected item in the Filter Menu List.
What I'm really trying to do is programatically select one of these items. I have looked through some threads like http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/p/73977/374084.aspx but I'm not sure where the list of items in the filtermenu even exist.
How would one programatically select an item in the Filter Menu Item list for any specific column in a XamGrid?
Thank you!

Hello Enriquez,
Please find the attached sample where is shown how to select a FilterMenu item in code behind. The logic is placed in the event handler of xamGrid loaded event.
If you still need assistance do not hesitate to ask.

Mircho Yovchev,
This solution worked great. BUT I did notice what could possibly be a bug in the filtering system, or maybe this is just the design:
Given 10 pages of rows, if any filter is created, all other filters are then limited to values on the specific page that your on.
For example:
Given a Hierarchy of Products
If I have 5 pages of "Products", and I filter "Groceries" as "Product Type", leaving now 2 pages of "Product Type = Groceries". If the second page has "Grocery Type" "Milk", and if it doesn't exist on the first page, and if I am currently on the first page, the filtermenu for "Grocery Type" will not show Milk as an option until I page over to page 2.
Why does it not allow me to filter items that are not on the page that I am currently viewing? If 0 filters exist, I can filter all items regardless of page.
Any ideas? Please let me know if you need more detail describing this problem.
Thanks,
DJ Enriquez
STILL NEED HELP: Complete list gives you the complete list at all times, I would like one filtered down, but not limited to the page that I am on, is this possible?
Still unable to correctly display the full filtered list. Any help would be appreciated.
