WPF project runs in Visual Studio but not as exe

Hi,

I'm developing a WPF application. We just purchased a Lisence so I'm no longer using the Trial version but I've found my release .exe still cannot be run (I had previously assumed this was because I was using a trial version).

The application builds, runs and works fine from visual studio. However if I go to the Bin\Release or Bin\Debug and try to run the executable I don't get any reponse (no error messages or prossesses start up in the taskbar).

I need to run the application on a colegues PC as she needs to demonstrate it to a customer next week.

Hello Joe,

Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and I can suggest you set the Infragistics’ assemblies’ Copy Local Property to true, delete the content of the license.licx file, build the application and then run it, so the bin and obj folders could be recreated. Please let me know if this helps you or you need further assistance on this matter.

Thanks for the reply, I just managed to solve the issue and came on here to post the solution.

I was referencing the resource xaml file that contained the Styles with a full path, rather than just a local path. Changing to a local/project path fixed the issue.

I'm Ruperto, have a new job and I'm working with Backup software(WPF) to reinstall on new hard disc and i have same issue when run *.exe (WPF) install with no problem but when try open never run. I had code too and I try open with visual but get errors

please help

Error on code:

Variable 'SyncItemValues' is passed by reference before it has been assigned a value. A null Reference exception could result at runtime.

happen with few variables...
