Dear Team,
We’re facing an issue with Infragistics webdatagrid (V 14.2) Default column width property. When ever we Switch on the Feature of column Fixing , the Default width is not being respected properly.
Please find attached a sample with both grids ( one with column Fixing enabled and another without) to demonstrate the issue. Can you please look into it and advise us if we are missing anything or is it an issue with webdatagrid itself.
Thanks,
Prashanth
Hello Prashanth,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics!
I have been unable to run your sample, as there errors when building and it seems to be missing dependencies. In the future, I recommend sending WebSites instead of solutions as they transfer better. I created my won sample with the version you are using and I am unable to reproduce the behavior. Please run my sample and let me know what you see. Would you please modify my sample to reproduce or send an isolated sample that is more simplified than your current sample?
Hello Mike ,
Thanks for your reply.
We have modified the sample you have provided to replicate the issue.
Following are the modification done in the solution
Created additional Webdatagrid without column fixing
Reduced the number of columns to 10
Changed the Height and width of the grid to 100%
Changed DefaultColumnwidth to 30px
I am attaching the modified sample for your reference. Can you pleas ehlep look into tis issue.
Hello Parshanth,
Thank you for the update. The behavior you are seeing is the expected behavior. When you enable column fixing it is a requirement for the total width of the columns to be equal to or greater than the width of the grid. Therefore if the column width are less the grid automatically makes them larger to fill the width of the grid.
