I am on windows 10.
I do not see .NET in the control panel where it shows which application are available for deleting.
I checked the Registry and it shows that .NET is installed. I saw how to do this on a blog.
When I attempt to install .net it says that I already have it installed.
How can I uninstall .NET?
This is stopping me from using TA.
Thanks,
Kevin
Hello Kevin,
.NET should be installed in order to install TestAutomation for WPF.
Could you please let me know what error you have when installing the TA ?
Information about installing the TestAutomation for WPF could be found in the online documentation - Installing and Configuring WPF Test Automation for HP
Please let me know if you have any other questions on this matter.
Martin,
We appreciate the quick reply.
We are using Windows 10. This version of windows has .NET pre-installed.
I looked through the Infragistics documentation but I cannot tell if the Windows 10/UFT 14/ TA combination has been verified.
We do not have an error showing. I can tell that it is not working from how the objects are recognized. It is showing everything as WinObject. It shows correct values when using Windows 7 and an earlier version of UFT.
Thank you for the provided information.
Could you please create and attach an isolated sample where the Infragistics WPF controls are not recognized by using TA WPF ? In addition, please let me know the steps I need to perform in order to reproduce your scenario.
In case you haven't resolved your scenario yet, it could be helpful for you if you check if the UFT .NET add-in is installed during the installation of the UFT.
You can navigate to Programs and Features windows dialog, select "HPE Unified Functional Testing" and click "Change" button. After the UFT dialog is loaded, click Next and Change buttons. Finally, you can expand the "Add-ins" tree node and check if ".NET Add-in" is installed. If the add-in is not installed, you click it and select "Will be installed to the local hard drive" and after that proceed by pressing Next.
If the .NET add-in is already installed, you can make sure that when running the UFT, the TestAutomation plugin is checked in the UFT Add-in dialog. If it's not, you can check it and proceed.
Let me know if you have any questions on this matter.
