Hi,
We are using Infragistics4.Web.v14 We have implemented the WebHierarchicalDataGrid in our project. The filtertype was ExcelStyleFilter. But the columns having datetime field is not filtering, If we select a specific date and click on "Ok", all the checkboxes are being checked and all the results are displaying in Mozilla Firefox and IE. What's the solution for this.
Looking forward for your Reply.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics!
What service release are you using for v14.2?What version of IE and Firefox are you using?Do you have an isolated sample you can attach?
When I test this with the latest service release of v14.2 which is 2590 I am unable to reproduce the behavior you describe. It works as expected in both IE and Firefox.
Hi Mike,
The Version of Infragistics we are using is 14.1.20141.2392.
The version of Firefox is 55.0.3
We tested with different versions of Firefox, but columns having datetime field is not filtering. For IE with version IE11, works as expected.
Here am attaching the solution which I used. Please check this
Thank you for the update. I tested this with v14.1.20141.2392 and I am able to reproduce the behavior as you describe. This behavior has since been fixed in later versions. As v14.1 did not receive a service release that contains the fix for this I recommend you upgrade to the latest version which is v17.1 as that will give you the most up to date support on the latest versions of the browsers.
We have upgraded the version of infragistics from 14.1 to 17.1. In our application we are using FilterType as ExcelStyleFilter. But its not working in newer version(v17.1).
we are getting following errors in browser
[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.] Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.Filtering.SaveViewState() +1000 Infragistics.Web.UI.Framework.ObjectBase.System.Web.UI.IStateManager.SaveViewState() +38 Infragistics.Web.UI.Framework.ObjectCollection.SaveViewStateItems() +204 Infragistics.Web.UI.Framework.ObjectCollection.SaveViewState() +92 Infragistics.Web.UI.Framework.ObjectCollection.System.Web.UI.IStateManager.SaveViewState() +38 Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.WebDataGrid.SaveViewState() +346 Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.ContainerGrid.SaveViewState() +288 Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.ContainerGrid.System.Web.UI.IStateManager.SaveViewState() +38 Infragistics.Web.UI.GridControls.WebHierarchicalDataGrid.SaveViewState() +570 System.Web.UI.Control.SaveViewStateRecursive(ViewStateMode inheritedMode) +93 System.Web.UI.Control.SaveViewStateRecursive(ViewStateMode inheritedMode) +319 System.Web.UI.Control.SaveViewStateRecursive(ViewStateMode inheritedMode) +319 System.Web.UI.Control.SaveViewStateRecursive(ViewStateMode inheritedMode) +319 System.Web.UI.Control.SaveViewStateRecursive(ViewStateMode inheritedMode) +319 System.Web.UI.Control.SaveViewStateRecursive(ViewStateMode inheritedMode) +319 System.Web.UI.Control.SaveViewStateRecursive(ViewStateMode inheritedMode) +319 System.Web.UI.Page.SaveAllState() +530 System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +1225
I am unable to reproduce that error in my sample. The best way for us to assist you is if you provide a small isolated sample that we can run and use for debugging locally. If you are unable able to provide an isolated sample I may be able to give suggestions if you provide the code for your page.
