Please advise whether QTP will be able to recognise Infragistics controls when we install Test advantage which is of the same version of Net Advantage the developer has used
1) For web based application
2) For Desk top application
Thanks,
Mithun.R
Mithun,
We provide TestAdvantage for both Windows Forms and WPF so for desktop applications TestAdvantage will help you to automate testing of your user interface. Web applications will not benefit from having TestAdvantage as it is only for WPF and Windows Forms.
Let me know if you have any questions with this matter.
Thanks one part of my question is answered.
2nd part is whether QTP can recognise Infragistics controls in a WEB based application.(with or without test advantage)
I am trying to get a confirmation.:) so that we can do automation testing
Sorry if am bothering
QTP can do record and replay on web pages. I don't know what support HP provides for third party controls though I expect it to be more limited as the controls rely on JavaScript for their functionality. As far as the amount that the web add in provides you will need to follow up with HP or do your own testing with QTP.
Hi Team,
I'm working on automation of application developed in Infragistics 10.3 and .Net 4. I've installed "Infragistics NetAdvantage for Windows Forms 2012 Volume 2 .NET controls" with QTP 11 installed in my machine. I've 2 queries here
1) How do i verify if testadvantage add-in is successfully.
2) I'm still not able to identify the objects
Please let me know the testadvantage add-in which has to used.
Thanks in advance
Hello,
The volume of TestAdvantage must match the volume of NetAdvantage so you should install TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (for HP QuickTest Professional) 2010 Volume 3 which you can download from the archived downloads page. Once you have the correct version of TestAdvantage installed, you can verify the configuration by running the sample scripts and recording on the sample applications that come with TestAdvantage.
The samples are located in the following path under Windows XP for the most recent versions of TestAdvantage:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Infragistics\TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (HP) [version]\Samples
For Windows Vista and Windows 7 this would be:
C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Infragistics\TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (HP) [version]\Samples
