How to use doughnut chart appear hierarchical having different slices for every category have similar color?
posted

I want to use  doughnut chart type for my web-app. The desired layout for my use is shown below. This image was taken from the site link

I have the same requirement to have child circles with corresponding slices to match the color scheme of the parent. My problem is the current code on the link is for .net I want to know if there is a conversion using equivalent methods / routines to have the same effect for use of web-sites.

For e.g

I need to find out count for number of slices, initialization brush collection array etc.

For reference I'm working on the example.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Infragistics, and I apologize for the delay caused in answering your question. The behavior of creating hierarchies in doughnut chart based on hierarchies in data is currently not supported.  After looking into this and doing some research, creating doughnut chart hierarchies can be suggested as new product idea for future versions at https://www.infragistics.com/community/ideas. I have described at the bottom of this post how to create a new product idea. In the meantime, I see that you posed similar question and its answer can be found here.

Individual series in igDoughnutCharts can be custom colored as described by http://www.igniteui.com/help/api/2013.2/ui.igdoughnutchart. On this page, under Options -> series -> brushes, you can find a code sample that will answer your question.

Please reach out to us if there are any more questions.

    Steps to create your idea:

    1. Log into the Infragistics Product Idea site at https://www.infragistics.com/community/ideas (creating a new login if needed).
    2. Navigate to the product / platform channel of your choice (e.g. WPF, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, HTML5 / Ignite UI, iOS / NucliOS, etc.)
    3. Add your product idea and be sure to be specific and provide as much detail as possible. Explain the context in which a feature would be used, why it is needed, why it can’t be accomplished today, and who would benefit from it. You can even add screenshots to build a stronger case. Remember that for your suggestion to be successful, you need other members of the community to vote for it. Be convincing!

The Product Idea site puts you in the driver’s seat and allows you to track the progress of your ideas at any time, see how many votes it got, read comments from other developers in the community, and see if someone from the product team has additional questions for you.

    Thank you for contacting Infragistics.

    Sincerely,

    Malav Patel
