I've come across an issue with the UltraDesktopAlert window cutting off the text along the right side of the control while viewing it on Windows 2012 R2. Has anyone else had this issue and, has anyone been able to "fix" it, or work around it? I have attached an image that compares the look in Windows 7 and Windows 2012 R2 for reference.
Hi John,
I will set up a VM and build a small sample to test this. If I do not reproduce it, I may ask you for a reproduction sample.
I also have a few questions about your environment:
Finally, one thing you might try to resolve this is to set the TextRenderingMode property on the UltraDesktopAlert component to GDI.
Hi Mike,
I'm using 2016.2, Resolutions are the same at 1920 X1080 and Yes I'm accessing the Windows 2012 server via Remote Desktop.
I currently have the TextRenderingMode set to Default, I'll try specifying it to GDI.
I tried specifying GDI and it did not fix the issue. I've attached a screen shot of the alert.
I've built a small sample to attempt to reproduce this, but was not successful. Please try this sample on your VM and let me know whether it reproduces the issue. If it does not reproduce, please modify the sample so that the text is cut off.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sorry it has taken me some time to respond. I was able to reproduce the issue using your sample by modifying the text a little. I took two screenshots of different variations of text that cut off. I've also included your sample but with a change in the text. Again, I'm running this on a Windows 2012 R2 VM. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks!
John
Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone was able to come up with a solution for this?
