maxlength of text column

Is there an attribute of the igGrid column that we can use to specify the maximum length of characters for a cell? thanks

Hello,

You can attach a column formatter function to each column and check the text length. Based on that you may throw exceptions or cut the text length.

Here is a sample showing how to use formatter functionality:

  I used the maxLength option in the text editor to set the limit of the maximum number of the characters that can entered in the cell. thanks.

    hi iam using ingnite java script for creating excel.one of wrap text formula is working only if your text less than 255 characters.if my string value is morethan 255 i am getting below error.
    
    The specified formula cannot contain a string longer than 255 characters.Portion with error: Value This text will be wrapped.
    
    can you please help me on this issue.

    Could you Show a small Portion of your Code? did you set maxlength in Editoroptions under updating in column Setting??
