First steps in the UltraGrid

Good morning, I am trying to use the UltraGrid for the first time.

I’m really lost honestly. I would like to ask you please to show me the step by step, from creating the columns, configuring the properties, setting the values ​​and how to access them.

If someone could help me with a well understandable example, in vb.net, I would be very grateful.

Bottom line, I don’t know how to get the UltraGrid to work.

I hope I have expressed myself correctly and that you understand what I need.

Something very important to clarify is that I want to set the columns manually from the designer.

I don’t have any datasource or datatable or anything like that.

Hello and thank you for contacting Infragistics. I attached a sample to help you get started. After adding a new UltraGrid, in the designer, to the form you are greeted with a quick start guide. There you can define your own columns but note its best to add a datasource and bind that to the grid. You can use an UltraDataSource as shown in the screenshot/sample attached. For more details its best to review our online documentation. The quick start guide will guide you through all the possible features. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Michael, thank you very much for the prompt response. I just looked at the link you copied to me in your message regarding the documentation and thanks again for doing so. Maybe I'll start reading it at any time when I have time, only now I'm a little overtime and I need to streamline and optimize as much as possible of the little time I have and that is why I tried to ask a specific question and not have to read all the documentation to do what I need right now. So, I thank you again for your answer, but would there be any chance you can tell me specifically how to set a data from a textbox to a row? Also, what configurations do I need to make to be able to allow the user to write inside the cells, since when creating the UltraGrid and the columns, when I run the program, it is not possible to write inside the cell. Hello and thank you for following up. The sample I attached lets you edit cells and it should be the default behavior. I'll require a modified sample of the one I provided to see why it's not letting you edit.
