Hello Alex,
All the React grid components are distributed in separate npm packages. If you installed the base Ignite UI package you won’t see the grids automatically.
You can choose between two options: Open-source React Grid Lite or advanced React Grids with more features.
Open-source React Grid Lite (MIT Licensed) – this is a lightweight React data grid that is fully open source and free for production use. https://www.npmjs.com/package/igniteui-react
It’s in the igniteui-react package under the grid-lite entry point.
React Grid Lite is ideal when you need a simple data grid with common functionality but without the full enterprise feature set. It’s a great option for lightweight data tables, basic dashboards, simple grid scenarios, projects that require MIT-licensed open-source components
Here’s the official documentation

If you need more advanced capabilities and enterprise features, go with the advanced React Grids (Data Grid, Tree Grid, Hierarchical Grid, Pivot Grid)
You should install the igniteui-react-grids npm package https://www.npmjs.com/package/igniteui-react-grids
These grids provide enterprise-grade functionality including:
- virtualization for large datasets
- advanced filtering and sorting
- hierarchical data support
- complex data editing scenarios
You can check out the documentation here

For any additional questions about installing or using the React grids, feel free to write back.
