NullText Property

The text to display when the value of the editor is null and the editor is not in edit mode. The default value is empty string.
Public Property NullText As String
public string NullText {get; set;}

Note that the NullText does not specify whether the user is allowed to enter null values into the editor. For that, use the ValueEditor.IsNullable property.

The following code sets NullText on a XamTextEditor. It also initializes the value to null. With the following code, the XamTextEditor will display NullText if the value of the editor is null. Note: It will do so only in display mode. When in edit mode, it will display an empty string. Therefore to see the following code snippet work, ensure that the editor doesn't have focus.

<igEditors:XamTextEditor x:Name="textEditor1" NullText="(NULL)" Value="{x:Null}" />
