BC30560: 'WebScriptManager' is ambiguous in the namespace 'Infragistics.Web.UI'.

I’m using 2012.2 on ASP.NET v4.5 on a Win2k8 R2 box.  I used to use 2012.1.  I have run the Version Utility on my project and the site.  However, I’m still getting this.

I have uninstalled 2012.1 and reinstalled 2012.2 with no improvement.

Is there any other information you need to help me determine the problem.  I’m a long-time programmer but I’m a newb to object oriented and .NET.

I am just another user, so my answer isn't authoritative

Three things I would check…

 

1)  Check that you don't have the version 12.1 dll's in the bin folder

2)  Check that you don't have references to both assembly versions in your web.config file

3)  Check that you don't have a reference to the 12.1 assembly at the top of your page

1. The only Infragistics DLL in my or the server's bin is the 12.2 version.

2. Here's the web.config section with the references:

You mentioned the master page…

Are there Register Assembly directives at the top of the child page?

Unfortunately, there aren't any directives at the top of the default.aspx that uses Site.Master.

Looking at the list of referenced assemblies from your web.config, it seems that both 4and 4.5Infragistics assemblies are being referenced, for instance:

All assembly references including in the web.config and in the page/master page directives should point to one CLR version of the assemblies.

I checked the file on the development server and it's identical.  I also rebooted the development server (different reason) so IIS is reset.

Thanks.  I had taken the Infragistics4 references out but they re-appeared.  When I removed them again, the ASP.NET page is working.
