ASP.NET Controls New Features - 2012 Volume 1

In NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 12.1, we continue to strengthen the Aikido platform and take the control capabilities to a whole new level. In addition to adding Touch support across all controls, we’re working to ensure they work seamlessly on iPhone and iPad browsers. This release also boasts enhancements to our Data Grid – the most performant grid on the market - and Hierarchical Data Grid.

Touch Support – NEW!

Flick, pinch, pan, and zoom your way to the right data. It's easy to move between mobile devices and desktop applications when all of the controls are Touch enabled. All of the buttons and UI elements are bigger, and speical UI for features like Grouping, Multiple Sorting, and Mutliple Selection, among others. We’ve added panning, pinching support, as well as acceleration/interia effects for controls such as the Grid, Tree, and Combo.

Data Grid and Hierarchical Data Grid – ENHANCED!

• Cell Merging – Our first RTM of the Cell Merging feature has all the functionality you need to achieve the best cell merging experience available on the web – which includes cell merging with sorting, cell merging with grouping, and styling of merged cells.
• Multi-Column Headers with Column Fixing - We’ve combined Multi-Column Headers with our Column Fixing feature to allow you the ability to create a flexible and informative way to present information.
• Multi-Column Footers – Use multi-column footers to display custom labels. It’s a perfect complement to the Grid’s Summary feature.
• Excel-Style Filtering (CTP) – By popular demand, the Excel-Style Filtering capability echoes Excel as much as possible. You can now file by unique values and set up custom filters for columns.

Hierarchical Data Grid – ENHANCED!

• Multi-Column Headers – Create column groups in your Hierarchical Data Grids to customize the layout of the information that is being displayed. You can organize data columns within categories for users to easily read through the data more easily.

• NetAdvantage for ASP.NET Controls 2009 Volume 2 introduced many new ASP.NET AJAX controls and features, capped by the hierarchical data grid and new multi-resource view for scheduling.
• NetAdvantage for ASP.NET Controls 2009 Volume 1 introduced 4 new ASP.NET AJAX controls, data grid enhancements, the Drag and Drop Framework, and more.
