The map control allows easy implementation of an interactive airline seating chart, integrating customized shape files. The seating chart provides detailed visuals on seat location, quality, availability, and flight amenities. A customer satisfaction chart is also included.

Hospital Floor Plan
The Hospital Floor Plan sample was designed to highlight how custom shape files and filters could be used in a healthcare setting. Shape files are used to present patient health status, equipment location, and bed occupancy information. Filters are also used to allow specific views of the data displayed on the floor plan.

Sales Dashboard
The Sales Dashboard highlights the capabilities of the map, the data chart, sparklines, and bullet graphs, integrated together into a single application. The dashboard provides relevant sales and revenue information at a glance so users can obtain high-level aggregate data or drill down for sales specifics by region, model, dealership, and product line.

Earthquake
This sample highlights the use of high volume, real time streaming data from the US Geological Survey data, presented in either a geographical or a chronological view. With the Map view, the application maps the user’s location and allows him/her to zoom and pan the globe. Users can filter results based on location or magnitude and select the time range with the slider control. Links to more detailed information about the events like photos, longitude/latitude, and scientific data are also provided.

This application uses the Data Visualization controls for the Financial Services industry. The data chart is built with the High Speed Data Chart, which has been optimized for high speed financial charting and supports large datasets with millions of data points and real time updates. In addition, the data chart enables key statistical and technical indicators as well as comparisons to key competitors. It could be incorporated into a Line of Business application or an external customer facing application.

Media Timeline
This sample is a consumer targeted application highlighting the capabilities of the time line control by allowing the user to search, browse and play popular videos from YouTube. Users can sort results based on relevance, number of views, and publication date.
