In my project i am using Webdatagrid v14. (I already received a message that supports for 14V has been stopped. But i need this to be done on V14). I want to use a group0Field for my grid. For testing purpose i created a dataset manually in codebehind and in designer view i created the grid with groupfield and bound data columns as below.
If i use like the above i am getting the group field correctly. But in my application i am not creating the columns (BoundDataField)manually since i am assigning datasource through a datatable. So without creating the BoundDataField is it possible to group field? Please let me a know a immediate solution.

To have Multi-column headers you have to create the columns either in markup or code behind yourself. Otherwise the columns are created based on what is in the datasource so it doesn’t have any other information or means of creating group fields. Please see the following documentation:
