Hello,
I have a question about the WebDataGrid and the WebHierarchicalDataGrid. Currently when you edit a cell, the entire row changes to italics as in indicator that the row has been edited. Is it possible to override this style to prevent the row from being displayed in italics? Ideally I want no text decoration - the font to remain the same size and style whether a cell has been edited or not.
thanks,
Jeff Balcerzak
Hello Peerbrg,
To avoid the edited row to look in italics font in the grid you have to just remove italic font-style from our style file (ig_dataGrid.css) .
Therefore I can suggest you modify the style( .igg_IGUpdatedRow ) in the file ig_res\Default\ig_dataGrid.css
Please note if you are using other theme still you have to find ig_dataGrid.css file in the ig_res folder and remove the italic font from igg_IGUpdatedRow class.
Your code would be like below:
.igg_IGUpdatedRow
{
color:#666;
/*font-style: italic;*/
}
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Hi Divya,
Thanks for the quick response. In other spots, I use the WebDataGrid and WebHierarchicalDataGrid and I do like the italics indicator. Is there a CSS class I can override in order to make this change just for the one page? I like your solution, but it seems like then all my grids will lose the italics when the row is updated. Just looking to see if there is some way I can do this conditionally and not have it be an "all or nothing" scenario.
Best regards,
I can see your concerns therefore I can suggest you just change the design of individual page on which you don’t wants to have italic font by creating a new style for the cells as follows:
<style>
tbody.igg_IGItem > tr > td {
font-style: normal !important;
</style>
