Hi All,
I am using Infragistics v11.1 (11.1.20111.2216) for my asp.net project. This application is run on IE10. I sometimes get 'File do not exist' error for XPspacer.gif file in ig_common. I checked out this folder and no such file was present and hence I created a new one with the same name. But then the error changes to some other image file. The issue is this error does not occur always, but when it does it persists.
Please let me know if anyone have faced similar issue.
Hello,
Thank you for posting in the community!
If you are deploying your NetAdvantage ASP.NET application into an environment where you have control over the web server, then it is recommended that you create common directories for the JavaScript files and images that the NetAdvantage ASP.NET controls use. Creating these common directories offers several advantages including easier maintenance, better scalability and enabling side-by-side versions of the NetAdvantage ASP.NET toolset. Once these directories are created, any application that uses NetAdvantage ASP.NET controls can use the resources in them.
Here is a detailed walkthrough, regarding the use of ig_common Virtual Directory: http://help.infragistics.com/Help/Doc/ASPNET/2012.2/CLR4.0/html/Deploying_Common_Assets.html
I believe you will find the following threads useful, as there are a couple of scenarios covered.
Using custom location instead ig_common - Scripts load errors: http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/p/10885/238307.aspx
More ig_common.. http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/19040.aspx
Please let me know if you have more questions regarding this!
I am just checking about the progress of this issue.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.
