Buy 2013.1; use 2012.1?
posted

Hi,

we're still on .NET 3.5, but would like to eventually move to .NET 4.0. The current release 2013.1 clearly does not support .NET 3.5 any more. Thus, two questions:

  • If I buy a current NetAdvantage for .NET license, does that include downloads/license keys for a NetAdvantage for Windows Forms old enough to support .NET 3.5?
  • The requirements seem contradictory. For example, the supported environments page suggests that 2013.1 will work with .NET 4.0, but the tab in the Windows Forms product page seems to state that .NET 4.5 or later is required for for 2012.1 or later. Which version is the latest to support .NET 3.5, and which is the latest to support .NET 4.0?
