Hi, I am using an ultragrid for displaying and editing text.
Strangely while I am in edit mode and typing something, the bottom portion of the text becomes invisible.(particularly noticeable while typing letters like "q" "g" etc. "_" doesn't appear at all).
They become visible only when I have tabbed out of that cell. But if I set the multiline property of that column (.CellMultiLine = DefaultableBoolean.True) then the letters become visible completely then. i.e. . I don't want the multiline property set for this column though.
The property that I am using to make the cells editable is :-
.Override.CellClickAction = CellClickAction.EditAndSelectText.
Could someone please help me out with this.
Thanks,
Nitin
Hi Nitin,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics Developer Support.
I tried to reproduce this and everything works properly on my machine – the grid automatically leaves enough space so that the whole text is visible. I even tried setting the cell text in edit mode to be bigger than when the cells aren’t in edit mode and it still works fine. What version are you using? I used version 14.1.20141.2059 for my test. Also what font are you using?
Please provide me with sample which reproduces this issue. I have attached the sample I used to test this for your reference and you can use it as a starting point.
I am looking forward to your reply.
Hi Dimitar,
Thanks for your reply.
The setting of fontsize seems to have solved the problem.
But I still wonder why should a smaller sized font eat up the letters. Ideally all it should do is reduce the size of the letter as a whole.
I am using Infragistics version - 13.1.20131.2027.
You think this could be a bug?
Thanks & regards,
P.S. - Unfortunately I am constrained to post any source code due to policies here.
