Jason Beres [Infragistics] / Thursday, November 12, 2009

If you are going to be at PDC next week and have signed up for the Windows 7 Developers Bootcamp on Monday, stop by the discussion on Windows 7 Multi-Touch that I'll be moderating during lunch and networking sessoin with MVP's.  The schedule for the entire day is:

Location: Meal Hall is in South Hall G, right next door to The Big Room.

Schedule:

  • 10 AM – Noon - Getting the most out of Windows
Mark Russinovich, Arun Kishan and Landy Wang are going to dive deep into the kernel improvements. Arun is going to demystify the scheduler, and Landy is going to spill all the details on the memory manager improvements in Windows 7
  • Noon to 1:15 – Lunch and network with the MVPs
  • 1:15 to 3:15 – Making the most out of your software. Yochay Kiriaty will get deep into the shell improvements – Taskbar, Libraries and Search as well as the new Ribbon control, and the Sensors & Location Platform.
  • 3:45 to 5:30 – Getting the most out of today’s PC hardware. Michael Oneppo will dive into the graphics improvements in Windows 7- including Direct2D, DirectWrite,  and DirectX11.
  • 5:30 to 6:00 - Code 7 Contest prizes
  • 6:30 the Visual Studio documentary.

I hope to see you next week at the Bootcamp.  If not on Monday, I'll be at the Infragistics Booth with the team all week.  We'll have about 15 technical and sales folks there to answer questions and show off our new stuff.  We'll also be announcing a new product on Tuesday!

Also - if you aren't following Infragistics on Twitter - http://twitter.com/infragistics - and you are going to PDC - make sure to follow ... more cool things will be announced via Twitter over the next week.

Thanks!
