Global Components

Can we make global componets or masters? For example a navigation menu. I don't want to have to update the menu on every screen when i want to change a small aspect of it.

So having a master so i can edit it once and it changes across all the screens.

Thanks

    Hi, Jackie!

A lot has been going on since you wrote. I'm glad to tell you that our current version supports reusable components - screenparts -. In this link you can find more information about screenparts.

Once again, thank you for helping us make Indigo better. If you have any questions or more feedback about the product, we'd love to get your thoughts.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jackie,

There are two answers to your question.

The first is that if you use a state-based approach, you can have implicit masters as described in Understanding Screen Interactions and States.

The second is that we are planning on a way to reuse elements and interactions across screens. You can vote on that idea on UserVoice and suggest any other ideas you have there, too.

    HTH!
