Hi,
I have been successfully using data from an Excel sheet for some time. We now have a MS SQL datawarehouse to utilise but I cannot connect through ReportPlus.
I have been able to connect through other desktop software, so I know the connection is possible.
Can you please guide me on exactly what should be in:
1. Data source name
2. Hostname

Hello John,
The Data source name can be arbitrary but recommended to match your actually server name your attempting to connect to, because it will be displayed in ReportPlus' nav pane.
The HostName is your server name or IP Address. This would be equiveliant to a SharePoint URL if you were attempting log in with credentials for SharePlus. If you tap the blue arrow on this field a dialog will pop up searching your network for existing SQL Server instances.

Success. When outside our network I found i needed to use the IP address as the server name was not resolving.
