Hello there,
Im looking for a Brazilian map resource to add to my sales report.
Any clue where could I find?
Tks,
-Ritz
Hello Mauricio,
We don't provide any maps and/or any images for ReportPlus. Are you putting together a report and want to include an image? This would need to be included in a dataset as a sepearate data source. If not, can you please clarify your request.
I recommned reviewing an artcile by one of our developers about this:
http://www.infragistics.com/community/blogs/gabriel-lopez/archive/2013/05/07/how-to-design-a-product-catalog-on-the-ipad-with-reportplus.aspx
Clarifying.
Im creating a dashboard similar to the sample that came with my iPad version. (bought 1 week ago)
In that sample we see a US State map showing the participation of each state on the sales results.
Well, Im trying to mimic that functionality in for the Brazilian market. Happens that I could locate a global map but nothing specific for Brazil.
So, I guess I should say: Im trying to show on a Brazilian map how sales are distribute on its states. In my dataset I have zip codes, names and everything to locate a sale but a map.
Is this make sense?
Thank you very much!

Hey, thank you for that!
Now, do you have any sample how could I connect a dataset to a SVG map? Im kinda lost here...really don't know where to start.
Thanks much.
Hi Mauricio,
Thanks for contacting us.
There is a way to do this in ReportPlus by creating your own visualization using the feature “Do it yourself visualization”, which is explained in the following blog post: http://www.infragistics.com/community/blogs/gabriel-lopez/archive/2014/07/16/using-igniteui-to-create-your-own-data-visualizations-in-reportplus.aspx
You can see the html pointed by the DIY preloaded maps as a guide, for example: http://dl.infragistics.com/reportplus/diy/WorldMapSample.html, this sample is created by loading an SVG file with the shapes of every country in the world. As Javier said in the previous post, the following web has SVG resources with maps for Brazilian states: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:SVG_maps_of_Brazil.
We are going to work in this and other samples, but in the meanwhile try with these suggestions.
I Hope this may help, let us know how it goes.
Best,
Christian
