I have noticed that you now have 2 DateTime Controls: WebDateTimeEditor and WebDateTimeEdit. I originally tried WebDateTimeEditor but found the CSOM documentation a little thin in content (as well as hard to get to using the online documentation) and went back to WebDateTimeEdit for now.
My question is: what is the difference between the two and which should I use based on the fact that all interation on this control will be at the client (javascript)

The WebDateTimeEditor is the ASP.Net Ajax control which works on our ASP.Net Ajax (Aikido) framework. The WebDateTimeEditor has the following significant features.

The WebDateTimeEdit will be retired in the future. So it is left to your choice which one you prefer. Here is a blog on that note from our ASP.Net Product Manager.
