Hello All.
I'm trying to automate UI, which uses a lot of Infragistics controls for .NET windows forms. When I use QTP to automate the screens, all that QTP recognizes for all the Infragistics controls like UltraGridView, radio group and even buttons is just "SwfObject", but nothing like "SwfTable" or "SwfButton" etc.
I'm using QTP 9.5 with .NET Add In installed. Do I need anything more for being able to recognize the objects much better? What could probably be the issues that is causing this problem?
Thank you,
-Dany.
Either you don't have the appropriate version of TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (for HP Quick Test Professional) installed, or it may be installed incorrectly.
Hello Vince.
I'm using the TestAdvantage volume 3. But my NetAdvantage version is 7.3. Do you think I should be using TestAdvantage voulme 2? If so could you help me where I could download for the trial version of voume 2, as I could only find Voulme 3.
Dany.
I found the download location.
You mention "TestAdvantage volume 3". What's the "year" part of that version number? Do you mean "TestAdvantage 2008 Volume 3" or "TestAdvantage 2007 Volume 3"?
The version of TestAdvantage you use must match the version of NetAdvantage you use in your Windows Forms application - this includes year, volume, and CLR version (for those versions that included multiple CLR versions). If your application uses NetAdvantage for Windows Forms 2007 Volume 3 (which is only available in a CLR 2.0 release), then you need to use TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (for HP QuickTest Professional Software) 2007 Volume 3.
Based on the year-and-volume version of TestAdvantage you're using now, I can better direct you to the next step to get your issue resolved.
