Hi there
I have been asked to take over a web system for a client, who is reporting an issue in IE 8 and 9 where they cannot enter data into their grid control successfully. Looking at the source code, it appears to be using your UltraWebGrid control, version 6.2. I realise this is an old version so I am looking for the recommended upgrade path.
Is there any advice you could give me on how to proceed?
Regards
Brad
Hi Brad,
Thank you for posting in the community.
If you require IE8 and IE9 support for the classic ASP.NET controls (among which is the UltraWebGrid), I can suggest that you consider upgrading to version 11.1. Note however, that the classic toolset has been retired and as of version 11.2 is no longer included in .NetAdvantage. A detailed list of the retired controls and their respective replacements can be found at:

You may find additional samples illustrating the features of the AIKIDO toolset at:

Hi Peter
Sorry it has taken a while to get back to you.
Is my client entitled to this upgrade or is there an additional cost I will need to make them aware of? And where would I be able to get my hands on this version of the software to do a trial upgrade?
Thank you for your help

Hi Petar
I have few questions regarding upgrading my existing license
I have a license of Infragistics web controls with version 6.3
We have used this in one of our applications, now we are facing many issues with Internet explorer.
When we open any page containing UltraWebgrid, the IE explorer stops responding and crashes.
The is with IE 9 + but its working in IE 7.
It is also working with Firefox and google chrome.
Technical details of application:
- Windows Server 2008
- ASP.NET framework 4.0
- IIS 7.5
If you think we need to update the license to some specific version, then
- How much is this going to cost us?
- What are the steps to do this?
- What will the impact on the existing application?
- Will this resolve all the issues with any browser?
Looking forward for your help.
Thanks
