I was wondering if there is a way to make the GroupByBox smaller? I have the style set to Compact programmatically but it doesn't seem to do anything. Is there a way I can set its Height?

Hi Mike,
No, there's no way to control the height. Compact will only have an effect when there is more than one grouped column, so maybe that's why you are not seeing a difference.
Thanks for your reply. Is there another way to do a group by besides dragging to the GroupBy toolbar? I was thinking perhaps a right click on column header. What I'm asking is there a method or event I can call to do a GroupBy ? I looked at the members for UltraWinGrid but didn't see anything.
There's no other built-in UI in the grid. But if you want to create your own context menu, then you can, of course, group or ungroup columns in code.
Grouping is tightly tied to sorting, so you use the SortedColumns collection. Do group a column, you would do something like this:
this.ultraGrid1.DisplayLayout.Bands[0].SortedColumns.Add("My Column", false, true);
