Is it possible on DataChart to add annotations like lines, arrows, text, measurements?
e.g. user selects annotation, then uses mouse to interact with graph area to 'draw' the annotation at the required graph coordinates.
Code-behind needs to have access also so the annotation can be saved in the data file.
Hello Andrew and thank you for contacting Infragistics. The chart lets you plot series and lines but not does not offer built-in canvas drawing capabilities. That would be more inline with our XamDiagram control
eg.

To plot lines using our Charts I suggest looking at our ValueOverlay/ValueLines feature
https://www.infragistics.com/help/wpf/datachart-series-value-layer
Let me know if you have any questions.
So would a possibility be to overlay a xamdiagram (with a transparent background) over a datachart? And have it align with the graph axes in some way (and handle some sort of viewport which would change so that when the graph is zoomed the xamdiagram items stay in same relative position to graph data)
