Using WebDataGrid from 17.1. In Internet Explorer only the excel style filter drops down to show the values but after selecting any items and clicking 'ok' nothing happens. Hitting 'cancel' also does nothing. The dialog is stuck on the screen. Selecting additional filter drop-downs leaves them also on the screen.
Chrome and Firefox work fine.
Hello qwerty9988,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics Developer Support!
Is this happening when you open it in Internet Explorer 11 when it is set to compatibility mode (8,9, etc.)?
I do not have compatibility mode turned on in IE 11.
I've tested the general excel style filtering behavior but cannot seem to reproduce your issue. Can you provide an isolated sample so that we can investigate further?
Also how many entries do you have in your data grid? The filter dropdown is populated based on the unique values in the target column from your data source.
This could lead to performance issues if your data source is too large
I have about 400 entries. I do believe it is some setting in my IE 11, so I'm going to check with a few others and see if they get the same result. Also, I have some other web sites that use similar filtering on Infragistics 2016 so I'm going to try using 2016 in this web site to see if that makes the problem go away. I'll let you know what I find out.
Hello,
I followed the steps you suggested and was unable to reproduce the performance issue with filtering you're describing. I have created WebDataGrid which is bound to table having 400 rows. I have tried to open the filtering menu in Internet Explorer 11.483.15063.0.
I have attached the sample project I used to test this. Please test this project on your PC; whether or not it works correctly may help indicate the nature of this problem.
If the project does not work correctly, then the change in behavior is due to differences in your environment from mine and these differences can be anything from operating system version to the specific version of the Infragistics DLL versions used. My test was performed using version 17.1.20171.1001 in NetAdvantage for .NET 2017 Volume 1. Please provide more details about your machine and version of the assemblies that you are referencing so that I can modify the environment that I am testing in to match yours.
If the project does show the product feature working correctly, then more information will be needed to reproduce the issue in a sample that can be used for debugging. It will help if you can provide a small, isolated sample application that demonstrates the behavior you are seeing. This can be done by either be done by making the sample that I provided more like your application or by isolating the behavior from your application by removing dependencies on any third parties or databases.
Please let me know if I can provide any further assistance.
