We need to implement filtering in xamDataTree contained hierarchical data (filtered items must be hidden). What is the correct way to do this?

I wanted to follow up to see if you had any further questions.
I'm trying do do the same thing (filtering), but I'm not able to get it to work exactly as I want...the sample shown only works if the nodes are rendered, which many times is not the case.
When the nodes are not rendered, the node.Control property is null, so you cannot set the Tag property.
The only way I can get it to work is by adding a property to my business and bind the Visibility property in the XamDataTreeNodeControl style to that property. I'd rather not have to do that, so I'm wondering if there is some other way to do this?
