Is it possible set a value so that the XamColorPicker is automatically expanded when loaded?
The IsDropDownOpen property seems to have no effect. I'm using Version 14.1.
Can I make the DerivedColorPalette's colors brighter?

I have created a sample in which IsDropDownOpen property is set to True and it seems to work as expected. On Page/xamColorPicker loaded event – the color picker drop down is opened.
About the xamColorPicker Derived Color Palette as it is stated in the documentation – this palette displays increasingly darker shades of the colors displayed in the current palette. You can set the number of shades displayed by setting the xamColorPicker control’s DerivedPalettesCount property.

The dark shades are calculated internally so you can’t modified the displayed colors in the derived color palette.
What you may do is to replace the default current palette with brighter versions of the default colors and in this way to achieve brighter starting colors.

I managed to open it by setting the property in the loaded event. Setting the porperty in xaml has no effect for me.
