Hi guys,
Anyone knows how to add a KPI into my created chart (without having to add another data to the excel worksheet?)
Any help is well appreciated. :)
Cheers,
Wilfred
Hello Wilfred,
Thank you for posting at IG Forums!
It looks like you're trying to add a calculated column? Is this correct?
You can add new calculated fields but the values it uses must be fixed or result of a formula.
Let me know if I'm heading in the right direction.

Hi Javier,
I am revisiting this thread...

KPI Line
Hi there, I tried the method.
But I got a DOT (orange in colour) instead of a line...
Any help?
Do apologise if my response is so late. will follow up tightly next time.
Tks much!
Hi,
From what I see on the chart, you have data only for 22-Apr-2016, so you will have only a single point for that day.
Maybe you have a date field on pivot rows, aggregating by day, or maybe drilled down the data to a 'day' scope.
I would suggest to use drill up to restore to monthly aggregation and see what happens.
Also you can tap the little grid icon to filp to a grid visualization in order to see which data is behind this chart.
It the issue persists, send me a screen capture of the grid data behind this chart.
I hope this can help :)
Best,
Hi Christian,
Did it.. can't get it to work too..
Is there anyway, I can just force a static line across?
@Wilfred
Hi Wilfred,
To use the solution that I recommended, we would need to have more points on the x axis, which is equivalent to having more rows on that grid. Otherwise you will see only a point instead of a line (as you saw).
Currently, we don't have a feature to generate this line.
Could you please send me a screen capture of the pivot table definition to see If we can figure out another alternative?
Best regards
Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
As for including a 'line' in the charts we have the trendlines which are automatic and doesn't fit your scenario in my opinion.
Something that you can do is to implement your own javascript visualization and use the R+ DIY visualization to match it.
We have this blog post for R+ 3.0 in which a IgniteUI visualization control is used within R+.
This is an advanced and complex use of the tool, but with wide possibilities.
We will try to talk with the team to include this feature you asked for the next version, but I can't compromise with that right now.
Thank you for coming back to me.
Is there a possibility that I can create a static line in whatever way?
Or are there other tools offered by Infragistics which I can explore?
Would like to know my options.
Tks much,
kpi
Sorry for the delayed response.
We don't have a good workaround for this scenario.
As long you would have a single point on X axis, you will see a single point on the lines for this settings.
An alternative is to create a new row, with all 0 on the falues values for the next month, and chart that as usual.
The result would be something like this:
I hope this can help, but I know it's not the best solution.
Kind regards
