Is there a way to automatically open a SSRS report in "Web" mode so that the user may input parameters required to run the report? Is there an alternative method of viewing a SSRS report in SharePlus that requires user interaction before generating the report? The only option I see is to view these reports in PDF which doesn't allow for user input of parameters.

I'm afraid no. SharePlus support for SSRS is limited and won't allow you to add parameter before generating a report. As you state, a PDF copy of the report will be downloaded. What you can do, is to have several reports with different parameters.
