Is there any to have the 'view in web' and 'view in Safari' options to display in PC view by default?
Thank you for contacting Infragistics.
Please let me know what you are referring to when you mention "PC view". A screenshot showing what you're looking for would be helpful.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about this.
When a SharePoint site is opened in Safari or Web view mode on an iPad, the mobile view of the site is displayed. Down in the right hand corner, there are ellipses that when tapped allow one to 'switch to pc view'. When a SharePoint site is setup in SharePlus, under advanced settings one can choose the default viewing mode: SharePlus, Safari or Web. For Safari and Web views, it would be nice to be able to set 'mobile view' or 'pc view' as the default. For my application, some sites are best displayed using the PC view.
Also, it would be nice if the 'ellipses' allowed me to toggle between 'mobile' and 'pc' views. Right now if I switch to PC view, there is no obvious way to switch back to mobile view.
Thank you for your response.
I've attached a screenshot showing what I see when I use the View in Web option in SharePlus. I do not see the ellipses you are referring to. It may be possible that the ellipses are being generated by the server and not SharePlus. Please provide a screenshot of what you are referring to.
FYI, I'm using SharePoint 2013.
Looks like you were right. The ellipses are generated by SharePoint and I can switch back to the mobile view from the pc view by changing the SharePoint settings.
That said, it would be nice to be able to set the default mobile/pc view option and control it from SharePlus.
I will attach four images as a PowerPoint file in a separate post to follow. The first shows the Web view in mobile mode with the ellipses in the bottom right hand corner of the display. The second shows the ellipses menu. The third shows the web view in pc mode and the fourth shows the pc mode settings menu that allows on to switch back to mobile mode.
The promised PowerPoint file containing my four images is attached as a zip file.
