As I'm new to shareplus and learning the dev launch pad tools, have a few questions:
- Is there a recommend way to debug the launch pads when using the bridge api?
- What is the advantage of using the bridge API than jquery\json\ODATA for accessing SharePoint data?
- Is there a URL schema link that will go directly to item add screen?
- Is there a URL schema link to a specific list view
Thanks!
Paul
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your support request!
No. We don't have any recommended debugging method. Since you can read the Launchpad from a remote URL you could modify it and refresh the app. Or you can just deploy it locally to the app's local files and read it from there.
The API connects the web layer with the iOS native app layer. You can trigger app actions from the Launchpad using the API: you can create new items from the Launchpad, for example.
I'd recommend you do review the documentation available here: http://download.infragistics.com/shareplus/docs/4.1/WebDev/LaunchpadsDevGuide.pdf
Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
Regards,
Debugging... yes this was how was proceeding, didn’t know if there was a better way.
API, understand, in many cases I’ll just be viewing data. Had written a good deal of code with jquery for desktop browsers all seem to run fine in the launch pad, so unless there are native iOS functionally required should be good to go with what I’m using.
Had been focusing on Launch Pad API… found the reference to Admin guide for splus syntax good to for both my questions on links
Noticed the two examples in the admin guide for adding docs and list don’t quite look correct. Ver 4.0 of the admin guide page 192. Should be the doc or list name I believe not an mp3 file. But got the syntax in the correct direction and my links are working great.

Thanks for the quick response and pointing me in right direction.
Excellent!
Is there anything else I can do for you?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
