Infragistics Remembers 9/11 with "Memorial Guide" App

Recently, Infragistics was humbled by the opportunity to collaborate with Microsoft and the National September 11 Memorial to deliver a Windows Phone 7 application that honors the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993.

The app - “Memorial Guide” - is a free, educational interactive mobile application that allows users to search the names arrangement of the National September 11 Memorial.

The Guide includes victim’s names and locations at the Memorial, the significance of their arrangement, oral histories and biographical information about each victim (as provided by next of kin). It also locates sponsored cobblestones on the Memorial.

Our UX/UI Services Division, who created the application, put together a brief video walkthrough of some of the key features, which can be found here.

Words can’t describe how honored we are to work with the National September 11 Memorial and Microsoft on this project. And to know that people everywhere can have the opportunity to experience the Memorial and honor those who were taken from us much too soon, is just overwhelming.
